This botanical print is a striking image of lilies that grow in tropical Australia. The work is titled ‘Crinum Pestilentis’ and is signed by the artist (not dated). These prints look stunning on their own or in a series of three.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process, using the sun for developing an image, that results in a cyan-blue print. Each print is either a direct photogram of leaves and objects or a contact print from specially prepared digital negatives. These are produced by image manipulation of original photographic images from artist Mollie Bosworth’s collection.
The work is presented in a simple white frame made in Australia and is protected by a lightweight clear perspex (ensuring safe travel).
Dimensions: image size 21cm x 29cm; frame size 30cm x 38cm.
