Product description: Slimline timber ball point pen.
Each pen is hand-turned from Australian timbers. The pen is lightweight, comfortable in the hand and its timber has unique character. These pens make ideal work gifts for overseas visitors and your business associates.
Huon Pine is known as the prince of Tasmanian timbers. The wood contains a natural preserving oil with an unmistakable perfume and its fine and even grain makes the wood exceptionally easy to work with hand tools. It grows only on the wild and rugged west coast of Tasmania and has been a protected species for over 100 years. Small amounts of Huon Pine are salvaged from rivers or lakes where they fell centuries ago.
Dimensions: 11.5 cm x 3 cm
Material: Huon Pine
Timber’s natural oils can dry out and wood may crack if your pen is exposed to heat. From time to time re-polish the timber with a tiny dab of furniture wax such as a beeswax based product. All timber darkens with age.
Changing the refill is simple. Twist the top and bottom in opposite directions while pulling apart. Unscrew the refill and pull it out of the twist barrel. Screw in a new refill [sold by stationers] and then simply push the two halves of the pen back together.
